When Life Feels Paused, Purpose Still Moves

by | Oct 6, 2025

October 2025 arrived with another government shutdown. Offices closed, services slowed, paychecks delayed. For many, it feels like the world has pressed pause.
I know the weight of that pause. It is stressful, uncertain, and heavy. Yet I also believe: even when systems close, purpose is never canceled.

What This Season Reveals

Shutdowns are more than headlines. They reveal truths about how fragile our structures can be — and how strong people can become when those structures wobble.

They remind us that:

  • Income may pause, but identity does not.
  • Paychecks may be delayed, but purpose is still alive.
  • Services may close, but creativity remains open.

And while this disruption brings anxiety, it also brings invitation, the chance to see our power differently.

An Invitation Hidden in Uncertainty

When life slows, we are invited to reflect.

To ask: What can I create that no shutdown could ever take from me?

To pause long enough to notice dreams we’ve been postponing.

To shift our power away from dependence on outside systems and toward building something that lasts.

That’s the real gift inside a season like this: the realization that abundance is not tied to structures. Abundance is inside us, waiting to be claimed.

Why I’m Building the Soft Girl CEO Collective

This is why I am creating the Soft Girl CEO Collective.

It’s a community for women who want to build businesses that feel good and will last — no matter what headlines say, no matter what systems close.

It’s for women who are tired of waiting for permission, tired of shrinking when the world shakes, and ready to protect their peace while building their future.

In the Collective, we’ll nurture businesses that honor both ambition and well-being. We’ll plant seeds of resilience, create systems of support, and remind each other that purpose is not seasonal, it’s permanent.

Sharing This Message Here

I’m grateful to share this message here, with the Gladly community, because Gladly’s heart is about blessing lives. And I believe that’s exactly what this moment calls for: women choosing abundance in the face of uncertainty, and lifting each other as we rise.

The shutdown may have paused paychecks, but it has not paused vision. It may have slowed routines, but it has not slowed creativity.

And through spaces like the Soft Girl CEO Collective, we get to prove that purpose is stronger than pause.

Closing Thought

If this season feels like it’s pressing pause on your life, let me remind you: your dreams are not on hold.

Abundance has not shut down. Purpose has not shut down. You are still open for possibility.

And when we rise together, through spaces where resilience and community flourish, when we protect our peace, share our stories, and build our businesses, we create futures no shutdown can cancel.
